Ni saya copy and paste je msg saya di forum lain. semua pun boleh speaking london so saya malas lah nak tulis baru hehe... enjoy the pics all. Went hiking again and saw another flying lemur (Colugo)! It was very high up in a tall tree and it's my third time seeing this mysterious animal. A surprise find in the afternoon, it was probably resting after a night and morning of foraging for food. Look at those curious eyes, staring intently at the camera toters far below. Thanks to a long macro lens, I was able to bring it in closer and for the first time ever, get a much better picture of this elusive creature. 10 megapixels allow for lots of cropping leeway too. So here it is, up close and personal: Here it is getting ready to leap to a different tree. Locking coordinates...ready...set... GO! Half a breath later, it's on a different tree several meters away: One thing I've always wondered about these leaping or "flying" mammals including flying squirrels, is how they get from one hill to another. Usually there is almost always an open expanse between the many small hills (where the heavy growth and big trees are) of farmland, secondary forests, heath forests (small trees) grasslands or swamps. Surely they do not stay in just one spot. I wonder if they come down to the forest floor from time to time too. P/S Sapa sapa pernah tgk binatang2 menarik mcm ni, silalah berkongsi cerita dan gambar kat board chit chat ya!

Binatang nii memang banyak terdapat kat hutan di P.Pinang terutamanya di Pg Hill.
Bila ia meluncur dilangit......memang unik mata memandang. Bahagian tepi kulitnya yg nipis bertindak sbg 'sayap' utk ia meluncur dari satu pokok ke pokok yg lain.

Binatang ni unik sebab "kulit" nya membentukkan bentuk hampir2 pentagon iaitu bahagian ekornya pun ada kulit ni bersambung ke seluruh keliling badan kecuali bahagian kepala. Not to be mistaken as flying squirrels yng berlainan.
